World’s most engaging publishers on Facebook: Newsner makes top 10
The future is looking bright for Newsner as the modern news and entertainment brand claimed three spots on NewsWhip’s report of most engaged content on Facebook in Q4 2021.
Each quarter, NewsWhip, a “real-time media monitoring platform that predicts the stories and topics,” sends out a report of the most engaged publishers on Facebook. During Q4 2021, Newsner ranked fourth out of 10 posts shared by all pages. Newsner also claimed the second and fifth spot on the list of top Facebook posts that included only publishers. It did not include posts published by individuals or meme pages.
Newsner’s videos were recognized alongside videos from The Telegraph, WWE, The Dodo, Guinness World Records, Trending World by The Epoch Times, and others.
“We’ve had great engagement on our videos lately, and we’re thrilled to be mentioned among the most engaged posts on Facebook,” Martina Myräng, Newsner’s head of video, said.
Newsner publishes videos on more than 30 Facebook pages across 11 different languages. Last year, they recorded nearly 6 billion minutes viewed, almost 6 billion 3-second video views, and more than 200 million engagements.
The most viewed video for 2021 ended the year with 145 million views.
The video team found stories related to animals and content that was “more lighthearted and uplifting” resulted in the biggest successes.
“Our video team does an amazing job producing captivating high quality videos and the appreciation from our viewers has been overwhelming and heartening,” Myräng added.
Coming off exceptional numbers for 2021, Newsner’s video team is ready to take on 2022.
In addition to hiring new talent, the video team is also looking at ways they can utilize YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok .
“Video has been crucial for our expansion over the past couple of years and will play an even more increasingly large part in our continued growth,” Christian Ström, Newsner’s publisher, said.
“We see great interest for our video content not only from our audience, but also from clients and advertisers and our ambition is to increase investments in high quality video and original productions.”
